My reading skills in Esperanto are pretty limited, but the one thing that Esperanto seems to have is literature. Tim Westover's short story collection Marvirinistrato isn't about Esperanto, and seems to be decent, but I've had to limp through it using a dictionary.

There are no Esperanto audiobooks on Audible AFAIK. There's another missed opportunity.

By the way, Gaelic and other minority languages have a similar issue... A lot of stuff in Gaelic is about Gaelic which is interesting up to a point. Esperanto has the same.disease.

One more thing. Making a film is the goal of the Raumists. I think the Finvenkists will be more inclined to the idea of currency.
Barry Humphreys (also known as Dame Edna, Les Patterson etc) came out with a good quote about Australian cinema. He said if you want to grow roses, you need manure.

In other words, bad movies are how people learn to make good movies. Bad movies can also be profitable, bizarrely, and they provide actors with work, and technical folk, directors etc with practice. So we probably need to see a few bad and mediocre Esperanto films get made before we get some good ones.

Esperanto films/TV programmes don't even need to be masterpieces/classics, they just need to be watchable and enjoyable.

I think I would pick up a lot more Esperanto if I watched dramas and films in it.

p.s. Unlike some people interested in Esperanto I do not think we should be rushing into one world government. It will end up being a dictatorship for a number of reasons. I'm more sympathetic to the Raumists.

Jes, mi pensas ke Esperantaj Komunumoj povas uzi la interete pli maksimume ol la nuna tempo... Ĝi ne devas esti la filmon, oni povas fari kanalojn Jutube kiel la aliaj homoj, paroladi ene pri la eventoj aŭ fari la recenzojn de la io... Kiel la manĝaĵoj, estanteca muzikoj, ludoj, ktp. Ne devas paroladi pri la esperanta movado honeste. Iĝu kiel la aliaj homoj, sed ĉio nur estas liverita per Esperanto. Eble, vi povas aldoni la traduko en la angla kaj aliaj lingvoj do vi povas kapti la intereson de uloj... La vidpunktoj estos ne multaj, sed mi pensas ĝi bonas por fari.

Ĝi estos pli malfacila, ĉar vi havas labori duofoje, Esperanto kaj traduki ĝin, sed ĝi estas la pli ebla afero kiu oni povas fari por enkonduki la homoj por vidi Esperanton. Ĝi ne estos rapide, ĉar ja... Esperanto ne estas granda lingvo, komparite la angla kaj aliaj lingvoj. Sed per ĉi verko, eble oni povas semi la ideon de la ekzisto de Esperanto, kaj ĝi fakte vivas kaj utilas tagtage...

Pardonu ke mia Esperanto ne bonas. Mi nur provas eklerni kaj ekuzi Esperanton denove, do mi ne forgesas ĉi tiu lingvon. 😸
