Rohan:Oh also, how does one say 'to give a seminar' in Esperanto?
"prelegi" = to give a lecture.
"seminario" exists. I think "aranĝi seminarion" could be clear enough. I have never seen "seminarii" used, but I guess it should mean the same.

Rohan,

that's the right spirit to spread the word.

I wish you success and joy with your project.

Geraldo

Good work! I'm glad to hear the response was generally positive. I can't imagine that would always be the case, particularly for a similar seminar here in the UK, where reactions to Esperanto from the general public tend to be pretty negative.

No doubt you will have contacted the FEB. All the best.

Hej Rohan:

You have inspired me when I was discouraged.

You will make a bonega teacher.

I can be a pen pal to a learning student.

Mi deziras vin fortunon.

Vivu Esperanto!

Rohan:I would appreciate any advice that more experienced Esperantists could give me the benefit of, whether it be about teaching or presentation or activities or anything else.
Good luck! I don't know if you have taught before, but language teaching is a challenge. Make sure you utilize the teaching materials available at edukado.net. The site has lots and lots of resources available for anyone teaching Esperanto; you have to register with them to be able to download materials, but it's all free.

Also, the best language teaching advice I ever heard was this - make sure that the students talk more than you talk! Keep them talking and they will learn. Talk at them a lot, and they will fall asleep. Games and songs usually go over well.

Erinja, thanks for directing me towards edukado.net. It'll prove mighty useful.

My gratitude to everyone who's commented so far!

Rohan:Also, how would one say 'The time is up.' in Esperanto?
I would say "la tempo jam finigxis", but "la fojo jam finigxis" might be better. Or the verb might be "finis".

Congratulations on making a club! You're doing really great work to spread Esperanto. Best wishes to you.
