"You will have been waiting for more than two hours when her plane finally arrives."
Is this O.K. ?
"Vi estos esti atendanta de pli ol du horo ĝis ŝia aeroplano fine alveni."
I found out here
that "esti kaptanta" means
"to be in a state of catching", hence
"esti atendanta" would mean
"to be in a state of waiting".
My sentence in Esperanto is literally the translation of -
"You will be in a state of waiting for more than two hours when her plane finally arrives".
I request your comments and suggestions.

Vi atendos pli ol du horoj antaŭ tiam, kiam ŝia aviadilo finfine alvenos.
In practical terms the meaning is the same, although the compound tenses have been replaced by simple ones.

But, as RiotNrrd said, it's customary in Esperanto to put things more simply and directly. After all, it's meant to be an easily learned, international language!

Some subtle shades of meaning are lost since Esperanto doesn't really have as rich and complex a tense system as English, but on the other hand it makes it easier on people whose natural languages also lack the rich and complex English tenses.
