Please, I need help to understand the correctness of a translation.

ATENDANTE VIN is correct as meaning for
waiting for you
aspettando te
esperando por ti
Dans votre attente

to explain the concept that someone is waiting for another person
Thanks

Yes.

The verb atendi, to wait, a transitive verb with a direct object, e.g. Atendu min!, Wait for me!

The ending -ant shows that is a participle, more precisely active (the letter n), present tense (a) participle.

Since the whole word ends in -e, the word is an adverb. Adverbial participles works like clause-equivalents, i.e. they replace a sub-clause. In essence they show some additional action that took/takes/will take place besides the action of the main clause. Since you have here the present tense, it shows something that takes place at the same time.

  • Estas poto da oro ĉe la fino de ĉielarko atendante vin. : There is a pot of cold waiting for you at the end of a raibow. (the waiting takes place at the same time as the existence of a pot)
Note, the logical subject of the participle is always the same as of the main verb (you might find erroneous use here).

You are correct. However, in Spanish we say "esperándote", exactly the same way as in Italian. Your wording "esperando por ti" means something like "atendante anstataŭ vi / aspettando al tuo posto / aspettando invece di te". That is, somebody else is doing the waiting for you. A more direct translation into French might be "en t'attendant".
