Spammers May Cause Me to Leave

Are there no moderators in this forum who can delete and block all the spam? I recall this forum of some years ago when there was active moderation. It has gotten so bad that I am about to leave the forum permanently, even though I have long been interested in Esperanto and would enjoy a forum in which I could read and learn about it.

I agee, something should be done. This site is nowadays twice a week flooded with spam. However manually deleting spams and blocking their senders is doomed to fail. The flood of spam is so strong, that no man can do that for any longer period. What you need is a detecting system. I have no idea how easily you could integrate one into this and what that would cost. There is a donation page here in Lernu, so maybe they should have "an anti-spam donation drive" to collect enough money to have such an anti-spam system.

As far as i know there is momentary a single person who manages the site alone. Certainly he has to work the days to make his living. The page doesn't demand fees, so managing it is "for pleasure". You eventually can do three things: 1. be indulgent, 2. help with money 3. offer some time and offer your help in managing the site, if this is accepted. ( Of course there is this another 4th possibility to eave the page, malgajo.gif ).

I'm grateful for this forum. It's living, in contrast to many other ressources.

That is my impression too, that just one person maintains this site, only from time to time. So they could run a donation drive to finance implementing spam-protection.

Se mi bone memoras, iam oni proponis aldoni butonon "trudmesaĝo". Kiam kliknombro atingas la limon (ekz. 10) la ligilo al la mesaĝo tuj malaperas el la listo de lastaj mesaĝoj, sed la mesaĝo mem (nun - nevidebla) fakte restas. Poste nia administranto povas definitive decidi ĉu ĝi reale estas trudmesaĝo kaj forigi (aŭ fari ree videblan) ĝin.
