Hello,

I'm making another pledge at http://www.promesobanko.com, is the phrase correct:

Mi promesas ĉeesti Esperantan kunvenon sed nur se 7 aliaj lokaj personoj promesas fari same.

Thank you.

Hello, Pupeno

...fari la samon.

In my opinion, both phrases are correct.

If there is any subtle difference in meaning between "fari same" and "fari la samon"... well, it's too subtle for me to grasp it.

Regards,

Daniel

Pupeno:
Mi promesos ... se aliaj promesas. See PMEG 33.5, 4th example in list.

danielcg:
The difference miaopinie is that fari same means 'act in the same way', i.e. fari laŭ la sama maniero, which could refer to a style or method, whereas fari la samon refers to a concrete act. Thus pentri same could mean use the same paints (like oil paints, or the same colour like green), whereas pentri saman could mean painting the same object.

But practically, I would agree that there's very little difference if any.
