What is the difference between these words for "reality"?

Realeco is the quality of being real.
Realaĵo is a concrete thing that is real.
Realo is that which is real; everything that is real.
Vero is truth.

Hence, the realo consists of relaĵoj which have realecon. In the same way the vero consists of veraĵoj which have verecon.

If we go any further, we will end up with Heidegger and ontology. "La ekzisto estas la eliro de la estanto el la esto." Let's not open this can of worms.

To add to what Nornen said let us have some examples. All translations are mine, so pardon my French, eh English.

realo

● "Ah Sinjoro," respondis ĝi, "tio nur ŝajnas, sed la realo estas tute alia." (KB) : "Eh, mister", it answered, "it only looks so, but the reality is quite different."

● …sed certe ne forestis fantaziaĵoj sen kia ajn bazo en la realo. (IL) : …but certainly there was no lack of fantasies without any connection to the reality.

● La realo tute diferencis. (CP) : The reality was completely different.

realaĵo

● la krudaj realaĵoj de la vivo en grandegaj urboj (P) : the harsh realities of life in big cities

● Tio ne estas plu plano, sed realaĵo… (KB) : That is no longer a plan but a reality.

● La spektaklo ĉesis simili realaĵon kaj ŝanĝis sin kvazaŭ en orgion de sango… (LZ) : The spectacle stopped to simulate reality and changed to be almost an orgy of blood…

● kredi je la realeco de la videbla mondo (P) : to believe in the reality of the visible world

● Fabelo kaj realeco estas tre proksimaj unu de la alia, sed la fabelo… (Z) : Story and reality are very close to each other, but a story…

● Estis kvazaŭ mi vekiĝis el terursonĝo, kaj la spertoj de la antaŭa tago jam komencis paliĝi ĝis nerealeco. (AL) : It was as if I had woken from a nightmare and the experiences of the past day were already beginning to fade away from reality.

Thank you. Very helpful. I am using the word in a special way to reflect a reality that is at the foundation of all things. Realeco seems best, but I was using realo.
