I need to be able to express a few "slangy" expressions in Esperanto, and I was wondering if there are already some stock phrases in use. How would I express the idea of:

"Oh, Come off it!" or "Oh, Come on, now!" in the context of disbelief? Another one that comes to mind is "Give me a break!"

Also, what about a surprise expression such as "Oh, my goodness" or "MAN!/Dude!" or even just "Wow!" in the context of either shock or dismay?

Thanks

There might be better proposals around but what I use for your first purpose is "ĉesu!".

To express surprise I use "nu!" or "ho ve!"

For incredulity, an alternative might be

"Tute ne!"

I use Ho! and Ho Ve! for this sort of thing.

The following might also work
Ĉu vere? = Really? (literally Is it true?)
Vi ŝercas! = You're joking!
Ne frenezu! = Don't act crazy!
Vi ne seriozas! = You're not serious!

or some variation on that theme. ridulo.gif
