EDIT: In an excited state I have the site wrong in the title. It should be Change.org and NOT Change.gov. There is a big difference there. =)

Promote and Vote for Esperanto on Change.org. Stop on by and wield your vote.

Go there. Now!

Also you could write a testimonial for the Esperantic Studies Foundation on Change.org

And Esperanto-USA too!

Can you add these links to the comments on the voting page?

This has been tweeted no fewer than five times this morning by @esperanto.

If you go to the bottom of the page and find the About Us link, you'll find that this is NOT actually connected with the Office of the President Elect. This is purely a social polling site that's placed a quote by Obama at the top of their page. That's slightly upsetting to me, to be honest. It's now the fifth page of its kind that I've seen to imply without stating that it is associated with Obama, and claim to give opportunity to help influence policy. It's misleading and damaging to the trust of the American people, imho.

Change.gov, however, is the official page for the Office of the President Elect. There is a place for you to share ideas for growing, shaping, and guiding our nation directly with the Obama/Biden transition team on this page.

I don't want this to be seen as a flame. I do, however, want to extend the opportunity for informed action.

Read the FAQ.
What is Ideas for Change in America?

Ideas for Change in America is a citizen-driven project that aims to identify and create momentum around the best ideas for how the Obama Administration and 111th Congress can turn the broad call for "change" across the country into specific policies. The project is nonpartisan, and invites all political points of view. It is not connected to the Obama campaign or the Obama Administration.

How does it work?

Anyone can submit an idea and comment and vote on others. The top 10 rated ideas will be presented to the Obama Administration on Inauguration Day, January 20, 2009 as the "Top 10 Ideas for America." We will then launch a national campaign behind each idea and mobilize the collective energy of the millions of members of Change.org, MySpace, and partner organizations to ensure that each winning idea gets the full consideration of the Obama Administration and Members of Congress.

Thanks for the clarification. It is good to see that this will actually be heard.

We are currently first in Education for the first round, so spread the word so we can keep it up and in the top three.

Hi,

I think we are now fifth, and if we are not at least in the third position on December 31, then the idea will not make it into the second round!

Tsss tsss no vote please.

I wonder if throwing the "Plena Ilustrita Vortaro de Esperanto" to president Obama could be a better idea than a simple electronic erasable vote rideto.gif rideto.gif

I wouldn't throw anything at the guy. There's been enough of that involving shoes. rido.gif
