A lot of great metal music comes from northern Europe. Also North America. Share some of your favorite metal bands.

Kicking it off:

HAIDUK - Wraithavoc [blackened death metal]

Only a year later... some of the most exciting metal in recent years hasn't been from this region. Alien Weaponry are great and sing in Maori. The Hu sing in Mongolian. Bloodywood sing in ?Hindi. All outside the usual places, except perhaps NZ. I'm undecided about Babymetal who sing in Japanese but "Gimme Chocolate" is a good song.

My own favourite bands would include Anthrax, Iron Maiden, AC/DC and others.

I'm afraid I don't do much 21st century bands, mainly because of my age group. I never much got into the cookie monster stuff although some Fear Factory songs kick bum.
