On here everything looks fine, the latest news is from the tria de decembro, dumilok (2008). I don't really understand what the en.wiki.org/wiki/Portal:Esperanto page is meant to be though...

The portal is supposed to be a start point in the English language Wikipedia for articles relating to Esperanto. The Esperanto language Wikipedia, as you pointed out, seems to be doing just fine.
