You should not use Google translate as your only dictionary, especially for translating single words from Esperanto to English – I do not know how it fares with Polish. It does better with whole sentences, but you should still regard the GT translation as raw at best.

The one Lernu has is more of a word list than a dictionary, i.e. it lacks case government (rekcio) and examples how to use, but you can use it for a quick raw look up.

While Plena ilustrita vortaro (PIV) certainly feels overwhelming at the beginning (it is monolingual, Esperanto only, dictionary with case governments and examples), it is commonly ranked as the second most authoritative dictionary and therefore using it is a must at some stage. You can use GT with it so that you copy-paste the explanation from PIV to GT. This way GT generally fares better.
