Hello,

I'm a man from Germany. I have been interested in Esperanto for quite a while now. I even have started learning it, but then got interrupted by my Spanish lessons which are more important at the moment. But in the future I'm sure I will take Esperanto as my third foreign language.

Right now I made up the basics of my own artificial language which project name is "Inter-talk". The idea is to design a simple to learn language consisting of English and Spanish, the two most important and most well-known languages on the planet.
I already worked out the grammar and a part of the basic vocabulary. Speakers of English and Spanish would be able to learn this tongue in a month or so. I got the idea after watching "Blade Runner". In a scene of this movie one of the characters talks to Harrison Ford in a future language called "Cityspeak". Since then I try to design an artificial language that could be learnt and spoken by people on the streets all over the world, in places where several cultures get togheter.

Thx for reading. I'd be interested in what you think about it.

Yo también tengo mucho interés en ver ese trabajo. Por favor, ten la bondad de mostrarlo.
Gracias.

Ha ha, good one ridulo.gif

But anyway @ Cray:
Have you posted this on the net or something? I'm sure I came across this idea once when I myself was thinking about the chances of English dialects merging with other languages etc, a bit like how Norman French and Anglo-Saxon merged back in the day to make English the way it is now. Anyway at the time I thought it was a nice idea, would be great for English + Romance speakers but I couldn't find any more information. Overall keep up the good work ridulo.gif

And while we're on the topic, anyone heard about progress with Folkspraak? The people making the language don't seem to be coming up with much now. Maybe someone should just get West Frisian and make that the Germanic-Interlingua, it's well rounded enough anyway. lango.gif Speaking of which, Rogir have you been to Fryslân before?

As far as I know I've only been on Schiermonnikoog, which is officialy in the province of Friesland, but I haven't heard much of the language. I don't see why Frisian should be the interlanguage, better pick English, Dutch or Folkspraak.

Well, me saying Frisian being an inter-language was kind of a joke lango.gif. Mar begripe jo net Frysk? Drôf..... rido.gif

Hello Esperantists,

I have found a little text on the internet titled "The Dream of the International Language". I translated the first part into my own artificial language that I'm creating right now (Original title is still protected).
Actually it has more influences than I've told you before. Its main vocabulary consists of the five important Latin influenced languages: Italian, Spanish, French, Portuguese and English. The other influences come from Modern Greek and Latin itself.

Here is the translated text. The original copy is in German.

Nice ! rideto.gif

I'm doing my own language too, but I decided to create all the words from scratch (no influence from other languages) and to make it irregular (not like esperanto).
