12/20 is enough to pass? wow, Canada doesn't have very good standards, lol. from what i remember all the questions had multiple choice of 3 answers to answer by, which means it is unlikely to get less then a 33% even if someone knew absolutely nothing about the country.

Dos anyone know where their are tests for their countries online, it would be interesting to see the differences in citizenship tests.

as for language requirement, i don't think people should have to be fluent (as fluency in a language is very hard to obtain even for native speakers) but they should have to know enough of the language to survive, work and get around, otherwise they just end up making their own countries within a country, instead of really joining into the country.

Sorry for bringing this up, but you have a slight oximoron there - A native speaker is already fluent because their native language comes fluently to them, otherwise it couldn't be their native language (it sounds silly to think there are people who's second language is their native language, but that is often the case when the other language gets 'erased' through lack of use). The point of this hurried argument (I have to be in the city in a coupla minutes) is that fluency is basically another way of saying "naturalness" when referring to a non-primary language..... if that makes any sense ridego.gif (I think you know what I mean Senlando, but for the sake of being the pedantic lad I am I thought it was a suitable addition to the discussion).
