ceigered:Uws@u if ai rai' laik @ saeuf ozi then yu- prob@bli w@u-n' @n@staen' mi tu- wew.Attempted decipherment: You've (sure?) if you write like a saf(?) Ozzie (Aussie?) then you probably wouldn't understand me too - whew.
(ae = short 'a' sound in cat), (@ = 'er' sound in 'bird' without the 'r') (u = u in put), (u- = ou in 'you' which is more like the french 'u' in 'rue')..... see my point?
I give up. What does it mean, ceigered?

Uws@u if ai rai' laik @ saeuf ozi then yu- prob@bli w@u-n' @n@staen' mi tu- wew."Also if I write like a South Aussie then you probably won't understand me too well."
(ae = short 'a' sound in cat), (@ = 'er' sound in 'bird' without the 'r') (u = u in put), (u- = ou in 'you' which is more like the french 'u' in 'rue')..... see my point?
(Sorry Miland and jchthys)
Why so?:
- South Australian English is notorious for having dark 'L's, like Portuguese and I'm guessing Dutch
- South Australians seem to turn stuff into schwa's more happily
- Many Australian speakers use cockney speaking conventions such as 'th' = 'f'/'v' and 't's becoming glottal stops
- our 'au' sound is more that 'æ' sound plus a short 'u' sound (like the one in 'pull'
- our 'o's are a schwa followed by a more-forward 'u' like in French or even more so in Swedish.
(dodgy-IPA for the more pedantic of you)
'ʊwsəʉ ɪf ɑi rɑiʔ lɑik ə sæʉf 'ozɪi ðɛn yʉ: 'problɪi wəʉɴʔ ɑnə'stæɴʔ mɪi tʉ: wɛw.
The "N" here is being used to show an 'n' followed by a glottal stop, which isn't a normal 'n' because the tip of the tongue does not touch the top of the mouth behind the teeth.
This also brings up another good reason why not to reform English spelling for now - different accents seem to be going through another vowel shift - just look at the "ɑi" and "ɪi" combinations.

vedev:Well my friend, you obviously don`t know English as well as you think you do... we don`t all speak the same, and nor should we. This is my native tongue thank you very much!Miland:I can explain why. Because the English spelling is terrible. why you will not produce revolution in this terrible spelling?vedev: du ju andestend vot aj printid hia? Iz it izi or difikalt fo ju?Aj wud not kol it difikalt - bat wai not spel de werdz korektli? Choo vee komprenas? (Trans: du yu andestand?)
So terribly sorry you`ve a problem with it.
I`ve a idea. Let`s all speak Esperanto to one another and we`ll be just fine!
Ya in?
