Bill Northway:I hope Esperanto is one of the languages they put on the disk...
Good idea! One can write to them with this suggestion at
rosetta@longnow.org

If there are 1500 languages on there, I find it hard to imagine that Esperanto would not be among those.

Esperanto is on the disk. One can virtually zoom in on the disk, which has a list of the languages in English on it, here.

Here is a link to an article on conlangs in general by one of the founders of the Rosetta project. It also has a link to a book by a linguist on the subject which is the subject of another thread.

Actually, it's not likely they'll put esperanto, since they're giving top priority to either well-known languages or endangered languages (native american dialects, for example)

One of the organisers of the Rosetta Project informed me that they do, in fact, include Esperanto among their languages on the Rosetta Disk, as well as the Rosetta Digital Archive (which confirms jchthys's earlier post in this thread). Further information is in this blog.

Esperanto is on the front side of the disc under "Europe".

I tried loading the page but only got a white space with the legend beneath 'Done, but with errors on page'. malgajo.gif

Anyone else had this problem?

What OS and browser are you using? It works for me using Chrome on Windows, but not with Internet Explorer.
