Ah, Memoro de la Ŝtono is a really beautiful song. I have to keep listening to it again and again now lango.gif. It seems to be better by far than all the other esperanto music I've heard yet - though I admit to not listening to much esperanto music. Thanks ZOV! rideto.gif

Maverynthia:Well it seems to me that Esperantisoj are afraid of the electric guitar and most of the stuff sounds folk-y.

I found some stuff by Dolĉamar I like, but that's about it. The few things from Japan are what I'm looking for. Something...modern, or dramatic. Something also like, J-rock, whatever Nanne Gronvall fits into, rock opera and the like.

It's like Esperanto is stuck in the past or something (in more than one way). All the photos I see are of a bunch of people sitting around usually and one person has an ACOUSTIC guitar. lango.gif

Esperantisoj! Do not fear the electric guitar! It is your friend!
Also, keyboards and computers can be your friends too. :3

(I'd love to hear Vocaloid Kaito sing in Esperanto... if only I had midis..)
There are esperanto rock bands that aren't so folky. A good example of this is Persone. Here is their webpage where you can legally download two of their cd's as torrents. They have some really cool songs.
Also there is the group Supernova. They are from brazil i think. Besides this there is some modern rap music in esperanto. I've heard it but i don't remember the name of the guys.
I've heard of supernova, and I've got a couple of persone songs on my old laptop. However, given maverynthia's descriptions, Persone might be a little too alty.

Maverynthia, forgive me if you don't know what I'm talking about, but do you mean that you'd like an eo equivalent of a song such as Donten by DOES? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4vg48vIY-o /OR/
here)? that's what i perceive to be jrock in any case. but yes, EO muzos - rock it out dudes!

maybe that's the problem, no decent word for 'dude'!

Probably La Pafklik. They've released an album, Fek al Esperanto, heh.

Jen la Pafklik

I do have a couple Persone MP3s floating around here. More Supernova is what I'm looking for. (But still not quite it.)

I was talking more along the lines of:

Gackt "Journey through the Decade"

Though that example isn't bad. (I just don't care for that song, but yeah, kinda like that.)
I'm also talking about those happy pop-y dance Japanese songs too like "Loveshine"

Something...rocky..move-y...dance-y..pop-y

yeah that could work haha, there's always 'omo said with a jamaican accent okulumo.gif
jo 'omo

and maverynthia, now i get what kind of music you mean, it'd be great to have that kind of stuff in EO, but unfortunately I don't know a single band like that malgajo.gif
(didnt quite get the video clip tho, but i guess all live action video clips must be odd lango.gif)

Yeah! Won't that be great?
I've only seen one Miku song 紀元の樹海, on NicoNico, of course.
Very well done, but there are still some grammar mistakes, and a bit too short. But I still like it!

The context is Kamen Rider Decade. A tokusatsu show (think Power Rangers). It's one of those videos where you have to be familiar with the material to 'get' what the video is about.

I thought that this song by Ĵomart kaj Nataŝa was good.
