I never thought they disappeared. Regardless, they aren't very extensive - I'd leave them for beginners only rideto.gif

traevoli:Here's another option for your commute:

You can listen to "The Esperanto Teacher", by Helen Fryer as a *free* audio book.

The 70 mp3 files are available here:

Thanks, but much as I appreciate what librivox do, their recordings very hard to listen to. I already downloaded that one from the wonderful Archive.org and found it hard going.

There was a technical problem which is now resolved.

These lessons were a kind of experiment. Since I did not get any positive feedback, I did not bother to try to resolve the technical problem until now.

Some of these are very simple, while others are in normal Esperanto. You can also read the texts and English versions as well.

Here, at the bottom, you will find links to some of my works about Esperanto such as the novel PETER JAMESON'S SECRET LANGUAGE and the book ESPERANTO: A LANGUAGE FOR THE GLOBAL VILLAGE. These have been published in paper versions. PETER JAMESON also came out in a French translation by Alain Delmotte and Claude Piron.

I strongly recommend Claude Piron's GERDA MALAPERIS! which is available at lernu. You can download the text and mp3 files of GERDA. I found this little book very useful when I was learning Esperanto.

Here you will find links to some of my works which were published in leading Esperanto journals such as FONTO. I have added audio files to a number of them so you can listen to them as well as read the text. I have also added some new material.

Anyone having trouble with the correlatives may download a rich text format file of MASTERING THE CORRELATIVES IN ESPERANTO: LEARNING THROUGH EXAMPLES:

http://web.me.com/sylvanzaft/On_Esperanto/Correlat...

Any word processor should be able to open the file.

I hope you find some of this material interesting and useful.

I found the first 10 or so lessons to be very well done in this book. Then they start shuffling the narrators around and you get this one guy who not only speaks incredibly fast but seems to pronounce everything quite differently. All in all, it's still worth listening to as I have yet to find a better audio book for the subject.
