T0dd:took himself too seriously in the role. When TB left, I lost interest. I've watched a couple of episodes of the new Dr. Who, and my initial impression is that it's trying to be real, serious, sci-fi, and I'm not sure how I feel about that.
I'm not sure how serious it's trying to be. But I think the storylines are a lot of fun Haven't seen the first episode of series 3 yet, I expect to download and watch it with my mom sometime this week.

Has anyone seen Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda? I discovered that series earlier this year, and like it better than all the Star Treks.
It had a good idea, a true battle of good vs evil concept and well implemented. But I just can't stand Kevin Sorbo and all of the Hercules-like fight scenes that makes Capt. Kirk look like a true martial artist.

I don't know if you've seen this episode but there is one working in an alternate universe where it's Sorbo's character who died and Steve Bacic's that enter the event horizon. That would have been the best series ever for me.
You should watch Babylon 5, if you haven't done so yet.
And, you should watch it again if you have, it's worth it! rideto.gif

I liked the Sylvester McCoy version of the Doctor as well as Tom Baker. David Tennant's incarnation of the Doctor is interesting. I also liked Christopher Eccleston's version of the Doctor and now he's on Heroes which is a good show. I'm surprised that an American network has let a prime-time sci-fi show survive.
Andromeda was okay, but the acting left much to be desired and I kind of lost interest after Tyr left.
B5 was great. It did get better after Sinclair left and I thought what happened to him was a cool twist.
Remember the spin off of B5 called Crusade?
