Saluton cxiuj!

So I'm still improving my Esperanto, and I'm getting sick of sitting at my computer and reading stuff off of a monitor. I really want to get some actual books (Either by printing them off, or ordering them).

So I'm just wondering where I can go to get some books for a decent price? Printable e-books are fine too!

Thanks a lot ridulo.gif

A whole bunch of Esperanto ebooks are available here in pdf format:

If you want to buy some Esperanto books (I haven't been able to do so yet myself, regrettably), I believe the UEA has some interesting deals (I recall someone mentioning a collection of miscellaneous 2nd hand books). Then there's always Google and eBay okulumo.gif

You could also try a search on Project Gutenberg, you'll probably find more with RiotNrrd's link though. There are some lessons etc though, but many are old (and learning languages from eras gone by, in my experience, can make you sound a little old fashion okulumo.gif) (I tried learning some Arabic from a WW2 era book)

An original work in Esperanto like Edmond Privat's Vivo de Zamenhof would be a good starting point. It is available in print if you get fed up looking at a computer.

Check out Marvirinstrato by Tim Westover... It's a collection of original short stories belonging to the genre of fantasy.

If you want to buy some books:
Mondial or Amazon

The best place to look for Esperanto books in print in the USA is probably the ELNA book service. You should find something there. I just checked that Privat's Vivo de Zamenhof is going for $3, which is less than what you would pay for many common magazines.

Since you live in the US, please don't neglect the Esperanto-USA catalog. It's all available online. Best of all (for a beginner), the catalog is written entirely in English. I enjoyed looking at it as a beginner, because it gave me a good idea of what was out there in terms of Esperanto literature.

The late Don Harlow also maintained a website of Esperanto literature. It isn't "printable" exactly, no e-books or anything, but I certainly printed stuff from there as a beginner, and it is a wide variety of content.

I have ordered books from Esperanto-USA before. They have quite a large catalog with lots of good beginner material. Here is a link to the catalog.
