Number two is there isn't it? (maybe I'm looking at the message after it's been edited).

As for all humanity uniting into a single civilisation, that time might come but it's not happening right now (as for when, who would know, technology and society is moving at such a rate nowadays that war becoming obsolete is nearly imaginable).

For world peace and unity to come so suddenly we'd either need to find a LOT of intelligent life (e.g. star trek, Metroid, whatever) that warrants us to join together, or we'd have to develop immortality or some groundbreaking medical discovery that would make living a lot more pleasure orientated than survival orientated (the latter being where we go and destroy each other out of fear).

Or something along those above lines.

Umm, we're working on it I guess
But you really can't force medical breakthroughs and even when they come, new viruses tend to arise, stronger than the last.

Whose civilization is that going to be then? How centralized is it going to be? Whose rules am I going to have to follow? What if I disagree? What if I want out?

Humanity is strong because it is diverse. Monoculture agriculture is a bad idea, and so I would say is monoculture humanity. And just because everyone is united under a single nation, doesn't mean there won't be civil wars.

I don't think a single civilization would ever be a good idea for our species. A loose connection of free individuals and free communities seems the way to go. Or maybe that is the new civilization, united in our disunity.

If with civilization you mean culture, then point 1. is Anti-ecological.

Point 3. seems giberish.
