I came across this problem. The Esperanto vocab has multiple meaning. How i am going to differentiate it.

e.g nova=new
nova=novel

Dankon

"Novel" is a synonym for "new." If you want to get across the nuancal difference between the two, you could say "novspeca" for "novel."

If you're talking about the kind of book, "romano" is the word you're looking for. Be careful of the false friend "novelo" which means short story.

I think this is novel as in new and different. example: What a novel idea!

So just use unika, ruza or lerta.
