I believe that the stereotypical Swiss person (according to US belief) would spend their time wearing lederhosen and yodeling in alpine cow pastures. Uh, and I guess making watches and chocolate in their spare time.erinja: I was once at a dinner at my friend's grad school, and a girl at my table said she was Swiss, and a dumb guy at the table said "Oh, is everyone blond there?" I felt so embarrassed; now this girl will think that all Americans are dumb, I thought! He clearly was confusing it with Sweden.But then again you've just gone and called all Swedish people blonde!

When you think of Vienna, the first thought is of waltzes, but then again, I think that a lot of Americans couldn't necessarily tell you that Vienna is even in Austria! The only other thing I could really think of is "The Sound of Music", so that would be Julie Andrews singing in a meadow, along with a bunch of children whose clothing is made of old curtains.
