Do you know the new community http://esperanto.com? I found it by mistake and it looks very interesting...
what do you think about it?

Reminds me of a little Ido social networking community on Ning that I was a part of. Dunno where the network went (looks like Ning has had a facelift or 5 since a year ago) but anyway ridulo.gif

The biggest problem I've found with social networking and languages is that they often don't have people you know in person on them, thus limiting the usefulness of the "social" part. That and I wanna punch that esperanto.com mascot in the face. Aside from that, it's quite a snazzy site! Hope it can draw in some numbers!

Lol, if I were a 5 year-old, I'd have nightmares about that mascot. Looks like an anemic gremlin. On the other hand, the community is worth the shot still. rido.gif

As far as I can tell, Ipernity seems to be one of the more successful social networking sites with a large developed Esperanto speaking community. There's tons of Esperantists over there, and it seems to be a very active place. I've been on it for a couple of years now, although I have to admit that I'm one of the less active members.

BTW, i've an ipernity account, it's a really active comunity of esperantists there, there u can write blogs, put videos, images and upload documents, it's better than esperanto.com , ipernity is a real comunity, a really good project, esperanto seems to be like a copy of ipernity with a really ugly and bizzarre pet, it's like to compare youtube and Dailymotion, Ipernity FTW!
