I think it would help Esperanto a lot to have a couple representatives in Congress (do we?)

Yea, true... =(... but it cannot hurt to try. The more we get the word out the more people will be aware of Esperanto. People not knowing or understanding what Esperanto is or what it offers is a huge road block to its acceptance or peoples' willingness to investigate it semi-objectively.

I have my fingers crossed. =)

I think it would help any cause to have representatives in Congress. Maybe that's why everyone is so eager to buy congressmen finance their campaigns.
