But how about some Bonlingva experiment to esperantize it? How about "Troleganto"?

darkweasel:Oh, I was experimenting with expressing "Nerd" with what we already have in Esperanto. My understanding of the concept of "Nerd", um, is someone who is good at mental activity (knows a lot, not neccessarily inteligent) but bad at socialising, right?LyzTyphone:"Troleganto"?![]()

So I was thinking about something like "Tro-leganto" (over reader) or "Trosciulo" (know-too-much). Like that. Any suggestion?

@ the main topic, Nerd insinuates (according to egalitarian me, at least) a deep, profound or specialised interest in a topic which makes the nerd more interested or knowledgeable about something than the standard citizen ("citizen"?! I think my minds gone a bit nerdy myself and I'm thinking of Half-Life 2 now!).
Anyway, what on earth could you use to describe all that in a word? "Mojosa" stands for "moderna, juna," and then something with "s", maybe the same could be done for nerd. Anyway we had this conversation before if you search for it, god knows where it is though

Though, I don't think we nerds would like to be called "aĉaj", so other alternatives could be: sciuloj, lernemuloj,scizelotoj... or maybe nerdoj and gikoj.
