I use the site since 6 or 7 years to get information about movies. The German counterpart ist ofdb.de, which gives more detailed information about some movies.
I know, that since several years one can also get a premium access (imdb.pro), but I don't see the point for a non professional, even it that person (like me) is a movie addict.
What do you mean by account? Just a login so that you can rate the movies, the pro version? Usual access is also possible without an account. Several years ago it was also possible to rate the movies wihtout an account, but they changed this. I guess, once you sign up, you will get all sorts of spam...

Kill_Bill_Vol2:Have an account there?I used to visit this page when I search for new movies or oldest... Well, its the best, unfortunatelly it dosent have an portuguese version...

EL_NEBULOSO:I guess, once you sign up, you will get all sorts of spam...I have become a member in 1998. Not once I received a single unsolicited e-mail.
