I really want to know how to say "you all", like when you say "thank you all for coming" or something like that. I can't find it on the forums, and i don't remember seeing it in any of the lessons thus far.

Thank you so much in advance for any help, i really appreciate it!!

I'd imagine [Vi ĉiuj] would work

Vi is used for both one person and multiple people so I think Vi can also mean "you all."

Yes, it can, just like English "you" can be singular and plural. However, sometimes you do need to make clear that you're talking to "you all", not only to one "you", and that's where vi ĉiuj perfectly fits.

If you mean y'all as in southern US English, a few of us started saying "viuj" while at NASK a few years ago. Of course, it is meant as a joke and is colloquial. Certainly not standard, which would just be "vi" or even simply "ĉiuj" as in "Dankon al ĉiuj".

It was a friend from New Orleans who started this at NASK, as best as I can remember.

But then how would you say y'all's? As in, "our tractor's better'n y'all's". Nia traktoro estas pli bona ol tiu de viuj?. Nah, reckon I'll stick with Nia traktoro estas pli bona ol la via.

(Yes, y'all's is a real word in Standard Alabama English, as is y'allselves.) rido.gif
