Could make for a good supernatural mystery twist though - "Mi gitaras...."
How Kafkaesque! X awoke one morning to discover that he had been transformed into a giant guitar. I think you've got the basis for a novel, Ceigered! rido.gif

@ Vidas vandenis - theoretically, at one stage "bicikli" could have meant "to be a bicycle", but from the discussion here its evident that noun roots have adapted to suit needs in communication. And people often ride bicycles more than they become them, so of course now "bicikli" means "to ride a bicycle". But as a general rule of thumb, I think it's safe to say that if you have a noun/adjectival root, can't think of anything that could be done with it other than to be it, then you can assume that turning it into a verb is the same as saying "estas".

It's all related to the somewhat random nature of the way roots are assigned a "native class" of adjective, noun or verb I think.

@ Horsto - Very poetic phrase!
@ Andogigi - Haha yeah if I ever write a book, don't be surprised to see a little story arc like that in it (I personally was thinking more along the lines of some Japanese Shinto-esque folklore where a 100 year old thing gets a soul, or becomes haunted. But if someone did become a guitar that'd be very compelling if written well!)

We had a similar discussion a while back here.
