As a brand new student of Esperanto, I just want to say how much I appreciate this site and all who are here.

It is almost unbelievable to think of how much is available on this site, at no cost even! Amazing. Were I working, I would definitely contribute.

You all are giving more to help promote Esperanto than you can imagine. I am literally overwhelmed at the opportunity I have to learn this language from just information and people on this site alone.

Welcome to the community. As you said, there is a lot to look at on the site. And, as you continue, you'll notice that there is much to look at in other places too. There's different interest groups in Esperanto that use the Internet to share those interests (from philosophy, to music) and to get to meet each other in person sometimes.

There's also a fair amount of good music in the language (my preference is for hip-hop and electronica).
