By National Express coach it could mean a 2 hour wait in London, making the journey very long. However by train (in the example I looked at) you need only an extra tube journey (Marylebone to Victoria) for which you have a comfortable 45-50 minutes, and the total time is 4 hours and 37 minutes, which is not too bad.

No, I included the time from Stratford. Here's my example in full: You depart from Stratford at 09:36 and reach London Marylbone at 11:58. A tube journey and you leave London Victoria at 12:47 and reach Eastbourne at 14:13. So the journey from London to Eastbourne only takes about an hour and a half. The total time is 4 hours and 37 minutes, so the only 'plus' is the time taken to get from your house to Stratford railway station.

Maybe you could post to a British Esperanto forum to see if you can hitch a ride with someone who doesn't live too far from you? Or someone who could pick you up on their way, perhaps.

Sorry for the confusion I live in Northampton, i was asking if Eastbourne is near Stratford upon avon because i think i went there years ago, its VERY far from me

In this case, the coach takes 6 hours and a bit with a 70 minute break in London, which I would call a long journey, but not unmanageable. By train it's a tube from Euston to Victoria for which you have a very comfortable 50 minutes, and the total time is 3 hours 19 minutes. So it's easier to get from Northampton to Eastbourne than from Stratford.

I was pleasantly surprised when an alien creature in a recent episode of the TV series Futurama was neither he nor she, but 'ŝli.' They put in a joke just for the esperantists who were watching! (To everyone else, it was just a funny-sounding pronoun). Jolly good.

To calm down I also go for a long walk, or make a loaf of bread. It's both physical and rewarding, and requires a bit of finesse as well. Akvo kaj pano servas al sano, people.

I just go the gym and smash the punching bag until I'm to tired to care about anything, oh and call me a sinner but I hate both coffee and tea.
