One of the most difficult aspects of learning Esperanto for me is getting practice with speaking the language. I consider myself pretty good at understanding written Esperanto, and try to listen to Radio Verda, but have no experience with speaking it. If there are any other Skype users on lernu.net, do you think that it would be a good idea to link up using Skype for voice and web chat ?

Yes, certainly it would! My Skype nickname is also “mendacapote”. Some of us recently started chatting by Skype… (tre hezite kaj balbute… kun multaj eraroj… sed finfine esperante!).

See you there! sal.gif

I sent you a contact request on Skype this morning. My Username is lackinglatin, I think. Funny, I think it's lackinglatin, but I don't see any way to tell on Skype.

I sent one to you too, mendacapote.

Feel free to add me, charlie, but I didn't want to take the liberty of adding you without your permission, for some reason.

the email I have posted is lacking[dot]latin[at]gmail[dot]com, to find me by. I have my language set as "Esperanto", which will make me easier to find, I think.

Let’s use Skype!!!

I’ve met about 50 esperantistoj of the whole world and most them are almost always willing to speak the language, not just type-chat. At least for me there is not better way to practice the spoken language with foreign samideanoj.

Let’s go skyping!!! sal.gif

Hi Erick, we have of course had a brief text chat on Skype. I am keen to use Skype for voice chat in Esperanto, though I suspect that your knowledge of the language is significantly greater than mine. Still, if anyone on here is prepared to be patient and speak slowly, then I will be happy to give it a go. (It will also be a little daunting as I have never spoken the language with anyone yet).

Hi,
I just started learning Esperanto a few months ago and, to be honest, I've never had a conversation, since my Esperanto is still pretty, well, bad. Well, it's better than my french after 2 years of school, but that doesn't really mean a lot ridego.gif

Yet, it [Skype] might help to improve my Esperanto, wouldn't it?

My contact is weinhundert.

I also have Skype, but no microphone ... I am going to buy one in some months, when I get my own computer. But that means text-only at the moment.
My Skype account is: andybolg

Feel free to add me. You have my permission, everyone rideto.gif
