Hey everyone, ive really gotten into practising and learning my Esperanto, when i am alone i talk out loud my thoughts to try and memorise words and i love to think in the language wherever i am.

Next saturday (not this one) il be in the Airport and i was wondering what Airport words there may be, and possible usable phrases for me to practise ridulo.gif?

i know its kind of a stupid question but im hoping some of the more experienced esperantists could churn out a list of words and stuff or link me somewhere ridulo.gif

thanks everyone!

Here's a few airport terms that may be useful:

atendejo waiting area
akceptejo reception (or check in)
aliro approach or access
alo wing
aviadilo aeroplane
bagaĵo (or pakaĵo)luggage
bileto ticket
ĉareto trolley
dogano customs
doganlibera duty free
(aviadila) enirkarto boarding pass
enirejo entrance
elirejo exit
flughaveno airport
gardisto gardisto
iksradio X-ray (e.g. iksradia maŝino)
ĵetono token
monbileto banknote
pasporto passport
rulŝtuparo escalator
sekureco security
uniformo uniformo
valuto currency
vojaĝ-ĉekoj travellers' cheques

Here's a few that you may well have met already, but which may also be useful in an airport:
apoteko chemist
aŭtobuso coach
butiko shop
dolĉaĵoj confectionery
elektronikaĵoj electronic goods
fotilo camera
ĵurnalvendisto newsagent
kafejo cafe
monero coin
necesejo toilet
restoracio restaurant
revuo magazine
taksio taxi
trajno train
trinkejo pub

The reason for all the sekureco, of course is protection kontraŭ terorismo.

If you are going to practise speaking or thinking in Esperanto in public, BTW I suggest carrying a pocket E-o dictionary for quick reference, like McLinen, or maybe an old edition of Wells.

Nedankinde .. I would try the EAB's online bookshop. Esperanto House are quite helpful. If you're able to travel to Barlaston, you can even drop in and have a look (but contact them beforehand).
