Donniedillon:
I had a hard time keeping up with some of the dialogue, but was able to pick out words and phrases. I would not have been able to keep up without the subtitles.
Yes, it also takes a lot of energy for me to understand some phrases. But I'm e-o beginner, too. For me the pronouncation is somewhat slurry. Maybe its the native turkish accent(?). (That's not meant to be a blame of turkish, vere not! Yes, I know, turkish isn't Hochdeutsch/Piefkinesisch/kraut-ish) But can someone imagine that video with clear pronouncation like listed at this thread? The movie would loose its (dark) character it was intented. Btw. I remember that Gerda Malaperis movie also gots some reclaim due to some brazialan e-o pronouncation. In my opinion, movies should have the freedom to play around with e-o pronouncation means mixing of the perfect e-o pronouncation and the native pronouncation.

Regarding that: I did view the video again using some headphones and changed my opinion.

Btw. slightly off-topic but interesting anyway. twitter.com/NOVALanguages founds:

BBC: Coping with Foreign Accent Syndrome.

I don't see a point in 'playing around' with pronunciation by mixing it with native pronunciation, unless you are trying to emphasize that someone is "foreign" by giving them a "foreign" accent. I believe the Brazilian accents found in Gerda are unintentional.

That film should've been titled "The Enigmatic Smoking Woman".

Regarding the annoying mispronunciation of scias, was I the only one who chuckled when the man demanded: "Kion signifas tio, 'mi ne sias' ?"

Yes, it's standard native turkish accent, each letter was pronounced in the same way. And only two Esperanto sounds lack in Turkish; 'ŭ' kaj 'c', that is probably why they mispronounce 'scias'.

Saluton,

Mi rigardis vian filmeton kiu placis min. Dankon.

Vi faru paĝo de mona dono. Tiel ĉiuj paĝus iom da viaj sekvaj filmoj. Eĉ kelkaj asocioj de Esperanto ankaŭ havas multajn monojn kaj ĉi tio estas bona kaŭzo.

oops, always I get them mixed up. Thanks.
Well, this is a great idea however I still have a problem to ask people for
something, I hope one day I will learn to do that.

Love.

Not sure what to say to that. More videos in Esperanto would be a positive thing for everyone.
