Has a "Phonetic alphabet" been developed for use within Esperanto.

For instance the military, and alot of other groups uses the commonly understood:
1) Alpha
2) Bravo
3) charlie
Ktp..

A couple of phonetic alphabets have been developed for Esperanto but it's hard to believe that this would be a preferable way to say WWW (and since W already has a "name" that is not its simple sound, like s=so, I doubt if it has a special name in a phonetic alphabet)

Gee, that punch-buggy game must cause an awful mess at the Volkswagen plant!

PMEG's page about letter names lists one.

The one on PMEG seems a bit... too long winded. Two many 3+ syllable ones ridulo.gif
Although something simple like
Letter+a (if not a vowel)+letter after+o
probably isn't as memorable... But at least you can remember the formula on the fly lango.gif

(Kun vortardefinoj)
Abo (maybe "aboco", ABC)
Baco (a one-time german coin)
Caĉo (no equivalent, nearest I can think of is cico... :-/)
Ĉado (Chad, hey, this one works nicely!)
Da-e-o (could be turned to "Dako" (Dacca))
Efo (could be turned to "eblo")
Fago (Beech tree)
Gaĝo (salary, fee)
Ĝaho (this guy?)
Haĥo (throat clearing sound)
Ĥa-i-o (maybe better "Khan" (ĥano))
Ijo (maybe better "ilo")
Jako (jacket)
Kalo (callus)
Lamo (Llama)
Mano (hand)
Na-o-o (maybe better "nano", but this conflicts with mano)
Opo (?)
Paro (pair)
Raso (race, maybe "razo" (shaving) would be better)
Saŝo (?)
Ŝato (liking)
Ta-u-o (maybe better "tavolo")
Uŭo (maybe better "ugando" since we have "ĉado", or "ujo")
Ŭavo (maybe better "ŭato")
(Va-ikso)
(Iksazo)
Vazo (vaze)

(bolded ones sound cool for this purpose IMHO)

Mostly people don't bother with the WWW when referring to websites. So they will say message me at Lernu.net, for example.

However Esperanto has it's own equivalent in the form of 'TTT' (tut-tera teksaĵo) and I've seen 'TTT-ejo' for 'websites'.

Should you have to spell it out then 'trioble vavo' feels quite nice.
