Where can a beginner practice with other people?

Witeowl, my geography of the US is very hazy, but if it's Reno in Nevada that you are from - have you tried making contact with:

However, Skype is very good for chatting in Esperanto. Look through the thread on Skype here for my tip on how to find Esperantists with Skype accounts.
