If the new week had ten days and we still only had a two-day weekend, I would certainly be against that! It's not just people with certain religious beliefs who don't want to work every single day of the week rideto.gif

chrisim101010:
I might start telling people that Christmas is on December 23rd and laugh at the weird facial expressions...
They would laugh because December 23 is Festivus! lango.gif

FreeXenon:... and there were issues brought our by Seventh Day Adventists and Sabattarians, who denounced the addition of the Intercalary days...
I could be wrong, but don't both Jews and Muslims already ave a religious calendar that is separate from the calendar that the rest of us use? Come to think of it don't the Hindus as well? I don't see the problem with keeping a separate religious calendar. Thought I suppose it could cause problems if one is prohibited from any form of wok during the work week...hmmm...perhaps I am typing faster than I am thinking.

I don't actually get the idea of a 10-day week, because you can't fit an even amount of 10's into that IFC, if we were to adopt the whole lot all at once. Plus, it'd throw the whole astrological point of the 7-day week that's been around since Babylon out the window rido.gif.

A 5 day week (with 2 day weekend) would be nice though, and fit into 365 quite nicely okulumo.gif The IFC "leap day" would be a pain in the rear, but meh!

The 10 day week baffles me too.

The IFC is a 13 month 4 week calendar (28 day) that has the extra day and leap days inserted between Saturday and Sunday to make the weekend longer. These days are not on the calendar, but are denoted if you were born on these days by December 29 etc...
