Vi eble rimarkis ke ŭ en la h-sistemo fariĝas la ambigua u. Tamen, ekzistas multaj metodoj malambiguigi ilin. Ekzemple, ĉi tie.

Uzante la x-sistemon oni ja skribu u'x por ŭ.

Plej ofte ni tute ne bezonas substitutojn. Simple uzu unikodon por skribi ĉiujn ĉapelitajn literojn. Ekzistas bonaj solvoj por kan Vindozo kaj Linukso.
