Tio faras min malfeliĉan. I struggle to learn languages. I wish I had learned them as a child. There are studies that show the benefits of bilingualism for children. We are moving in the wrong direction.

At the same time, foreign languages should be taught before middle and high school.Well, generally they are (at least in the rest of the world) but the problem is that they are taught so badly and so dislocated from the rest of the curriculum that students never properly acquire such languages. Bilingualism can't survive unfortunately with half-hearted curricula
