Before, there were about five players who had Esperanto as their main language and 40 Esperanto-speaking characters. Now there are 8 players, and 69 characters! We have more than French and Russian combined!

Wow, that's nice then. I did not realise that many players play so many characters. But that's good, it increases the population of the Insulo.

Actually, my main language was listed as English, but I still play on the Esperanto island, so I suspect that may be part of the numbers of the Esperanto Island: people who list their languages as something else, but still have one or more characters there.

True. I however, have Esperanto as my main language but play only one character there (and one other died by grizzly attack).

I am playing german, english and 4 Esperanto characters. I would be glad if more players would try to play Esperanto characters. If you like roleplaying, this game is perfect for you

And, wow. This game IS addictive. I'm playing with the lernu dictionary in another window, though, so it's slow going at first.

Can anybody tell me what the resource "mortuo" is?

You mean "moruo" I assume. It's cod (a type of fish). Technically it should probably be "moruoj" since there's more than one.

I'm playing, but I don't really know what I'm supposed to be doing...heh. Fishing for cod at the moment.
