Hello,
I have been thinking lately that it would be both fun and beneficial to have someone to talk to in both Esperanto and English throughout the day. It'd be really helpful in learning to speak the language.
I would like to find someone who is around my skill level (I'm a novice speaker) and my age (fifteen).
Please anyone let me know if they are interested. I live in the US and don't have international texting.

Be careful - I don't know if it's possible in the US, but I believe that there are ways to find out someone's address if you give them your phone number. Mostly involving databases and other mundane things, but (I believe that) there's still a threat. So be careful!

I'm 17 and am also very new to Esperanto... I'd love to have someone whom I can text in Esperanto. I'll send you a direct message with my number. ridulo.gif

I could do that. Any practice is good. You may want to try twitter instead, lots of people EO on twitter and the short messages are easy to read usually. I try to only tweet in Esperanto.

RenSpidell = my twitter

The first messages have been fun, but I needed to have a dictionary handy. I did find out I know more words than I at first thought.
I made a short dictionary to place in my phone.

I've been writing my blog in Esperanto for nearly five years now, and I haven't written a single post yet where I didn't have to look something or other up in the dictionary. I doubt that will EVER end.

I have used twitter before, but I found myself not too fond of it.
