ki4jgt:Why do we have to rewrite our names in Esperanto?You don't, it's just a thing some people like to do, or like a nickname, or just because some feel obliged to translate their name into whatever language they're learning. It might help with pronunciation too, since my name "Christian" might be mispronounced "tchristEEan" instead of KRIStchen. I don't care much bout it all though.

Some names are translated into Esperanto as if they belong to the language, as Londono, but other ones not.
