M.C.Butler's 1967 Esperanto-English dictionary, which Teach Yourself Esperanto has described as a "mine of information", is no longer in print. However it is (for the moment anyway) available for download here.

Saluton . Thank You . Dankon > Bona Vortaro.

As I recall, it's out of print because there's a question of ownership of the work. It's useful, but only to a point. I found that a copy of La Esperanta Bildvortaro and a corresponding English-language Duden (ca. 1960 - the current "Duden" which is owned by Oxford doesn't have corresponding page/illustration numbers) was an invaluable addition, not to mention back-checking words via the PIV and la Retvortaro.

Did anyone manage to download this? After waiting several minutes for the download to complete, Adobe tells me the file is hopelessly broken.

Radio~!:I did contact Edmund Grimley Evans (the Esperantist who uploaded it) but he said he didn't know what the problem was. He only uploaded it to this website as a short term solution, I think; EAB wants the book to made available to everyone permanently, but had he uploaded it to our own website it would have taken us over our bandwidth limit (or something like that, I'm not a very technical person!)
This seems like a perfect case for uploading it to bittorrent and having a few UK users agree to keep it seeding on their home computers. EAB could have a torrent link on their site.

Otherwise a site like MegaUpload could be suitable.
