Second Life?

[So did I, but unfortunately I crash after loggin in demando.gif others have the same problem. I'd like to make the Esperanto meeting.

I would just like to ask. How does one sign up for Second Life, and is there any payment? Do I have to download anything?

Does Lernu! have a place in Second Life? If not, I think it would be a really cool thing to have so that Esperanto speakers could chat with each other in Second Life.

Lernu doesn't have a place in Second Life, although we do have our own instant messenger.

But if you'd like to meet other lernu users in Second Life, I'm sure you can arrange a meeting with them by exchanging your details.

I had heard about Second Life, it makes me think of the virtual world in "Snow Crash". Finding out that there's Esperanto speakers did it for me.

In fact, you don't have to look very hard to find dozens of allusions to that book throughout Second Life.

There's a very nice Esperanto center being built in SL. Press "search" then "places." If you type "Esperanto," the Muse Esperanto Centre comes up. It's pretty cool!

I'm Revemulo Jun in SL, and always willing to meet up and chat in the international language!

By the way, there's a big Esperanto meeting coming up in SL on August 9 from 1500-1630 central Europe time. It'll be in Colonia Nova at the the Creado Auditorium. Don't miss it!

If it is the same meeting I am somehow helping to arrange, then it is Sept. 9, not Aug. 9. Unless they changed plans without telling me, but I doubt that.
