Well, Chainy, to be honest, it's not THAT bad. There are noticeable errors, but they're negligeable. I deal on a day to day basis dealing with worse English from native speakers, and people who speak maybe 500 words of English, I'm sure I can deal with a non-native translation with just a few errors.
I think it does need to be said that there are very few alternatives to learn anything about Slovak, and that even the slovak-only parts (due to beta translation) are bound to be a godsend for those who want to learn a bit of the language.
I personally think that even though they're only in the Beta stage that when done, even with a few errors I can imagine this being up to the standard of Livemocha. And no doubt we anal English speakers will smooth out the errors quite easily by complaining about it (after all, the amount of English-speaker traffic will be relatively large, and if each person points out one mistake things will get very tidy very quickly.
Anyway, good on the guys there. I'm excited, even though I don't have a reason to be .

Hi. I have an update for you guys on the Slovak Online website. This is a translation of a message that Jevgenij posted recently to one of the Esperanto forums:
----
The project is still evolving, new things are constantly being added, old things are being improved, etc. All of the content is being proofread and we are trying to find and correct all of the serious bugs in the site.
We have begun to redo the illustrations and you can already see some of the new pictures at the pages: About the Project, Library, Learning and Introduction. At the Information page, you can now find downloadable versions of the site logo and advertising posters. So if you want to support the project, you can help us advertise it; for example, you can download a poster, print it, and hang it in a public place. We will soon be adding brochures and online link buttons.
In the Learning section, there is also some news; for example, the wordsearch game has been improved; we added more words to it. In addition, we have finally made available the first course for learning Slovak at the A1 level. It already has some interesting content: texts, sounds, and video dialogues. We plan to enrich the course soon by adding exercises and tests. Fairly soon, the second course should be put online, for the A2 level.
On April 27th, the first large news conference about the site took place in Slovakia. It was attended by representatives of various newspapers and TV channels. Afterwards, several news items appeared in newspapers and online and in addition, the project was covered in several television news reports (for example, see the report at this site and at the 22nd minute here). The news coverage caused a sudden and significant increase in visitors to the site, on the same day; within several hours of the first television news report, the page was visited by 5000 unique visitors and the number of registered users tripled.
At the moment, the page has 282 registered users and the project's Facebook group already has more than 415 fans. You are always welcome to join the page's community and learn Slovak. In addition, you can help with translating the proofreading the site.

Fantastic growth for a relatively obscure language's learning site!
