Well,

if you look through the other threads in the English subforum, you will find more information than I could ever offer you.

In short, it's an international language, mostly composed of elements of romanic, germanic, and also some slavic elements.

It's a planned language and it was constructed with the intention to have an easy, logical language with no (or very few) exceptions. This should enable many people all over the world to learn it without the difficulties that other languages pose...
