Sentence: I wanted to stop that buzzing noise, but it was lideplo.

philodice:Lideplo: A strange and unpleasant sound, that one cannot trace the origins of in order to make it stop.I'm neither for or against the idea, but where did you pick the word lideplo from? Does it have some special meaning from another language or you just conceived it. Oh BTW proposing words never works, what you need to do it use it and hope it gets picked up and widely used, kinda like what happened with Mojosa and to a lesser extent otako.

"Nefontsono" seems to mean basically the same thing, using regular Esperanto components. Why not use that?

Philodice, do you have someone spamming you lidepla stuff? I still haven't seen anything in any of my inboxes about it, but I've seen on a facebook-friend's wall (as oppose to a friend on facebook

Is it still buzzing?

RiotNrrd:Is it still buzzing?'pparently. I've seen some recent links to the language. I doubt it'll become a serious effort of Zamenhoffian types though.
I have seen a new conlang of international type pop up with some intention to compete against EO etc, Paqatyl. I actually like the aesthetics of this language unlike the more haphazard Lidepla, but practically speaking it suffers from the same problem of irregular word derivation. At least this time it does it with style

I know people want to get rid of any European bias, but honestly, there's a reason European bias exists in the first place, and rather than eridicating it I'm sure more can be done manipulating it to suit others. Europeans are really the bastardised result of constant asiatic tribes and african invaders, surely that counts for diversity somehow?

Oh well, I've been digressing. Ultimately, there needs to be some pragmatism. Comparing your conlang to Esperanto, even if it's 1000x more beautiful and cures diseases upon hearing it, is treating your own language like a commercial product - something that can be thrown away - and I think it'd be good if these conlangers took note of that, especially when their languages find criticism (after all, criticising an item in a market is what normally happens).

RiotNrrd:Why just make up a word when there are perfectly fine Esperanto constructions?better: senfontsonaĉo

super-griek:I can barely visit my own ipernity page without bumping into Lidepla, Attilio Liotto keeps posting about it anywhere he can...So is it a ipernity meme in a way? (belonging to just one person)

I honestly think that Sagwaat or whatever it is reminds me of "Sawdust". Maybe "Sawdast" should be an EO Greeting?
