Psyche123:I'd love to join if it's not too late. I've just started learning Esperanto too and looking for some people to study withWhich is your preference, that site (assuming it's still there as I hadn't been on it in awhile) or an IM such as Skype?

jpablo68:with webcam: stickam.com or tinychat.com (or google+ hangouts but i haven't tried them yet)Google+ Hangout works great. In fact I started a hangout in Esperanto a few weeks ago and we have been meeting every weekend.
the only problem i see would be the time zones, you could find some people willing to practice but some of them have jobs and can't be online 24/7
there's always saturdays and sundays though...
ĝis!
The link to the hangout (we call it "kunvidejo) is http://j.mp/EO_Kunvidejo
And anyone can use it at anytime, of course. It's free and open to everyone.
I recommend having a webcam (it's more fun when you can see each other) and a headset (helps reduce noise and echo)
I usually announce when the next kunvidejo happens here: http://on.fb.me/fb_paŭleto
You can see an video-invitation we made last weekend here http://j.mp/wbrwNP
It has subtitles in 6 languages (including Esperanto)
I also agree with Erinja. Lernu's "tujmesaĝilo" (instant messenger) is a great place to practice. It's simple and it works well!

lindaung:I would love to start a group with all the beginners to study Esperanto together! I have just started to learn Esperanto and have just reviewed the first self study lesson. That was what I was trying to say.
I'd like to be part of such a group. I have free google on my laptop and that works
with my webcam and I suppose I could try to find a microphone.
Maybe we could have one group here for everyone with chat and then, something to
lead everyone to other options that are convenient for some users. I've tried skype
but it seems to mess up my computer, so I don't want to try something other than
something on Google where I have gmail.
I just hope no one steals my email one day. Once, someone stole the email another
local and since there's no direct communication he never get his email back and had
to opt for a paid service. He's some company president.
Can someone make a list of the interested participants so that we can try to get our
group of practicers going. Now one thing, I've learned Spanish to a high proficiency
level and if all are bound and determined to fall back on English right in the
middle of chat that would be a tumbling block.
Could we have private windows so that some sort of more experiences Esperanto person
could help those that get lost and not mess up the whole chat?
