I would love to start a group with all the beginners to study Esperanto together! I have just started to learn Esperanto and have just reviewed the first self study lesson. sal.gif

Hello! My name is Cho and I would definitely like a study group. I'm very new to Esperanto myself and it would be really nice to have someone to study it with!

Same here but I would also like to find a live chat room to practice. Any recommendations?

with webcam: stickam.com or tinychat.com (or google+ hangouts but i haven't tried them yet)

the only problem i see would be the time zones, you could find some people willing to practice but some of them have jobs and can't be online 24/7

there's always saturdays and sundays though...

ĝis!

It´s a good idea.

Have you heard about the Paltalk? I think that is a great software for to practice Esperanto with audio, video and writing.

Take a look www.paltalk.com

Ĝis. Bonan nokton.

You can certainly practice with lernu's "tujmesaĝilo" (instant messenger).

lernu is in the process of planning a complete redesign of this site. I don't think we'll be able to add voice or video chatting services, but if any of you have suggestions for things you'd like to see in the new site, I would love to hear them.

I'm a member of the core team that runs lernu, and we are interested in hearing what our community has to say.

eo.chatonic.com also provides esperanto-language audio/video chatrooms.

It is a good idea to chat online. No fun learning a language when you're the only one learning it. There is also skype.

erinja:... but if any of you have suggestions for things you'd like to see in the new site, I would love to hear them.
Good, or at least better dictionaries, please. I have to use both Ru-Eo and En-Eo dictionaries, just to find some very common words. E.g. Ru-Eo vortaro has no translation for "must" (?!), but has translation for "oxymoron". En-Eo is vise versa.
What I think is the most important goal is to be sure that at least 500 of most frequently used Esperanto words could be found in all dictionaries. With correct translation.

There are some things that could be better with the interface, but it is not so important.

Thank you for your work.

the dictionaries are a work in progress - if you want to get access to the editing interface, e-mail teamo@lernu.net with the languages you want to help with.
