ceigered:I still envy you guys.tommjames:The "works on one machine but not another" problem is the absolute bane of my life! *angry face*Don't worry, we iPhone users are having the same issues now. Specifically, 3G owners and all before that if they even exist.
I mean, it's sort of common sense that for 2 generations back, we shouldn't expect total support etc, but between developers insisting that their app should work on old phones, and Apple insisting on not insisting anything about the problem, there's no clear guidelines or support if we get stuck with software that's "meant" to work but crashes every 5 seconds due to memory issues.
Personally, I used to be a big fan of Android, but lately they've been closing it down more and more (at least in the US). In the end, the OS becomes as much proprietary, if not more proprietary than iOS to the end user. And if I'm going to use a proprietary operating system, I should be using the one that has all the games, apps, and none of the viruses, and isn't in a dozen just-different-enough-to-cause-issues versions.
Personally, I'm just hoping at this point MeeGo has a future... but that seems a bit far-fetched considering how much market and mindshare Android's eaten up.

On the flipside, if you were all on iOS it'd make development more restrictive, perhaps keeping generous devs like kikoso here out of the loop I mean, the iOS has Dead Space on it, and that alone is pretty awesome, but such big-names apps feel a bit lonely without your open source fellows etc (and vice-versa).

It seems some people got the same error as tommjames. I think I finally solved it
tommjames, could you please check if is finally working? I also did some minor improvements on the application.
Best,
Enrique

I'm experiencing the same problem as the user who left a comment in the Android Market (https://market.android.com/details?id=com.esperant...)
whenever i open/close the app, slide my keyboard in/out, it skips to the next set of wordsI am using an HTC G2/Desire Z phone. Not a big problem, since the application stays in vertical orientation, but thought you might like to know.
Also, is there a way to start over at the beginning?

I am actually working on the Kurso de Esperanto application for Android: much more complete, not only limited to vocabular. It might take some time until I can finish it (and therefore, fixing this "bug", which is more a design mistake)
If you want to start at the beginning, you can reset the categories of words at the about menu.
Please, if you like the application, rate it, so it can be more visible to another users (and why not, my ego as a developer get satisfied )
Cheers

BlackOtaku:You might also be able to convert the ESPDIC Esperanto-English dictionary to be used with that app.Kirilo81:OFF-TOPIC (you are warned )DictionaryForMIDs is the only one I know of. It's pretty nice though, and it works for any language. You can download the Esperanto-English dictionary straight from the app. You can add your own dictionary, but I'm not sure about adding to the ones already compiled (it will certainly require a seperate tool, though).
Does someone know an Esperanto dictionary for Android? Especially one where you can add your own words?
